The Agilent HP 11793A Microwave Converter downconverts microwave signals to the frequency range of the 8902A measuring receiver. For signals above 1.3GHz, the unit routes the signal through its internal mixer. Below 1.3GHz, signals are routed directly to the input of the 8902A. The 11793A requres +8 dBm leveled output fron the local oscillator.

The 8902A measuring receiver, with the 11793A, counts RF signals to 26.5 GHz with 10 Hz resolution and excellent longterm frequency stability.
