Spectrum Analyzers, such as the Keysight Agilent HP 8555A & 8565A, are able to directly measure signals up to 18 GHz & 22 GHz , respectively. In order to measure signals above this frequency, an Keysight Agilent HP 11517A external mixer must be used in place of the analyzer’s first mixer to convert an input frequency (IF).
